X-ray allows us to measure performance issues across service boundaries (a.k.a. distributed tracing). However AFAIK X-ray requires a daemon to co-locate with the target application, in Datomic Cloud’s case, the EC2 instances.
Does anyone know how to enable X-ray on Datomic Cloud stacks?
Hi @Hden, the X-ray daemon is shipped with Datomic cloud. It’s on the nodes. While we’ve had a few customers use X-ray, I have not personally investigated configuration.
I will ask around to see if I can provide a better starting point, but this might also be a good question for AWS support and we can cross post to their answer for configuring the x-ray daemon.
