"License not valid for this release of Datomic" after upgraded datomic version from 0.9.5390 to 0.9.5561.64

Currently, we have a datomic transactor running with the datomic-pro v0.9.5390. However, after we updated the datomic-pro to v0.9.5561.64, the corresponding error occurred. Could anyone please help to advice? Millions thanks.

Hi @Devyn,

This message indicates that your license has expired. Datomic starter licenses are good for 1 year. If you have a Datomic Pro license you will be unable to upgrade to versions released after your license expiration date. However, all licenses issued are perpetual, meaning they will continue to work on versions released prior to your expiration date.

You can view your license expiration for datomic on-prem at https://my.datomic.com/account. If your license shows as expired you need to purchase or renew. If your license is current then you likely haven’t updated your transactor.properties file with your new license. You can select “send license” to retrieve the key and update your license-key= in the transactor properties file.

If you need to purchase Datomic you can do so here at our get datomic page. I would also encourage you to upgrade to the latest as the versions you’re running are from 2016 and 2017 respectively.
