Avoid datomic trying to ping availibility-zone endpoint

I have issues with Datomic that started today while my docker composed has always worked before. The strange thing is that it seems to work when running on my mac, but not on Ubuntu. The stack trace I see is this:

Why is Datomic pinging to http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/placement/availability-zone?

Can I disable it via an environment variable?

I am using 1.0.6362, but I also tried upgrading to 1.0.7075, but the problem is exactly the same.
