- Performance: Improve indexing performance, reduce I/O in large databases
- Fix: Indexing slowly leaks garbage segments in storage which are unrecoverable by datomic garbage collection
- Upgrade The AMI is now based on the [2026/01/20](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/linux/al2023/release-notes/relnotes-2023.10.20260120.html) version of the Linux 2023 base AMI.

Does it mean it won’t leak further or it will also collect historical garbage?

There is already a [2026-02-02 version of the AMI](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/linux/al2023/release-notes/relnotes-2023.10.20260202.html), presumably containing security fixes.
Is there any explicit plan/policy yet how to keep up with such fixes in the future?
